The Grundfos CR vertical centrifugal pump line is the most versital pump line made. With a virtually endless range of standard or customized CR pumps means that you find the right CR pump to provide a solution to your pumping requirements.

The Grundfos CR series industrial pump offers the highest efficiency of any multi-stage centrifugal pumps in the world; a considerable advantage to the operating efficiency of large pumps. The Grundfos CR pump line is the last word in multistage pump technology.

The basic CR pump range is already the broadest pump range available for any industrial application.  With the Grundfos modular approach the application range has been made even broader.  The CR pump line is available in four different materials: cast iron, two grades of stainless steel, and all-titanium (for corrosive liquids).  There are eleven flow sizes, capable of producing up to almost 725 psi pressure, and with a variety of shaft seals, rubber materials and supply voltages.  Pump parts which are typically vunerable to difficult liquids or particularly demanding operating conditions can be designed for their purpose and for specific requirements.

Models:

  • CR - AISI 304 Stainless Steel with cast iron top and base
  • CRI - AISI 304 Stainless Steel throughout
  • CRN - AISI 316 Stainless Steel throughout
  • CRT - Titanium throughout

CR, CRI, CRN, and CRT pumps are vertical multistage centrigual pumps.  The in-line design enables the pump to be installed in a horizontal one-pipe system where the suction and discharge ports are in the same horizontal plane and have the same pipe dimensions. This design provides a more compact pump design and pipework.  Grundfos CR pumps come with various pumps sizes and various numbers of stages to provide the flow and the pressure required.  CR pumps are suitable for a variety of applications from pumping potable water to pumping chemicals. The pumps are therefore used in a wide variety of pumping systems where the performance and material of the pump meet specific demands.  the CR pumps consit of two main components:  the motor and the pump unit.  The motor on a CR pump is a heavy-duty Grundfos specified motor.  The pump unit consists of optimized hydraulics, various types of connections, an outer sleeve, a top and various other parts.  CR pumps are available in various material versions according to the pumped liquid.

Variable Speed CR

CRE, CRIE, CRNE pumps are built on the basis of CR, CRI, CRN pumps.  CRE, CRIE, CRNE pumps belong to the so-called E-pump family.  Grundfos E-pumps are CR pumps fitted with an E-motor,  a motor with a built-in frequency control.  The motor of the CRE pump is a Grundfos MLE motor.  Frequency control enables continuously variable control of motor speed, which makes it possible to set the pump to operation at any duty point.  The aim of continuously variable control of the motor speed is to adjust the performance to a given requirement.  CRE, CRIE, and CRNE pumps are vailable with an integrated pressure sensor connected to the frequency control.  The pump materials are the same as those of the CR, CRI, CRN pump range.

CR/CRE pumps provide a complete range of pump solutions so that all applications, industrial and domestic, can benefit from the Grundfos touch.  The applications that can be covered include the following:

  • Industrial Processing systems
  • Washing and cleaning systems
  • Pumping of acids and alkalis
  • Filtration systems
  • Water Pressure Boosting
  • Water Treatment
  • HVAC
  • Irrigation

CR AnimationSeal Replacement Animation

The most serviced part of a pump is the shaft seal.

New CR shaft seals are easy, fast, and very simple to service without disassembly of the pump due to the Cartridge seal - and even without dismantling the motor (motor sizes > 10HP), a result of the Spacer Coupling design.

The Hybrid shaft seal is capable of short periods of dry running - and yet being very wear resistant.

Runs on Tungsten Carbide/Tungsten Carbide surfaces when lubricated
Converts to Tungsten Carbide/Carbon impregnated Composite when heated up
